Anyone know a good car stereo place in north jersey/nyc area

I went to a car stereo place to see if I could add speakers to the spots where the premium sounds system speakers would be. I have the base system and they told me I would need a whole new head unit. I don't see why I can't keep my stock stereo and just add an amp and speakers .

Just wondering if anyone else upgrade there systems and if they know a good place to have it installed. I don't want guys who don't know what they are doing tearing apart my doors lol

You will need a line converter that's like $10 but they are right. It sounds like crap. To sound good w/o a headunit you will need something like the jl clean sweep to add an amp. Other wise you can pick up that one vendors speaker upgrade w/o adding an amp

You should check out Lux Motorwerks. in Keyport NJ http://luxmotorwerks.com

They do some serious work. Not just a mom and pop car audio spot!! They have built several SEMA cars and do anything custom. True custom!! Not just slap on parts...

I would recommend Lux Motorwerks and have seen their work personally. They recently did a mobile office Toyota van which I know the owner of and was definitely a top of the line job!
