Magnaflow muffler and tips, time to weld?
I have a magnaflow muffler and tips that came off my buddies totaled 328i (well almost totaled) and it seems to fit our stock exhaust piping. HOWEVER i am very wary of the fact that i will have to cut and weld to install the axle back exhaust. Basically im just worried that it seems once i go for it there is no going back to OEM. Should i just go for it? or should i see if they can match the piping of the OEM exhaust and figure out a bolt on? I mean free exhaust is great but not when your not sure if its gonna make your car sound ricer.

the 128i has a single piece exhaust, meaning the exhaust is one piece from the bottom of the down pipes all the way to the muffler tips. This is the reason there aren't many aftermarket exhausts specific to the 128. In your case, you will have to cut off the stock muffler and then either clamp or weld this new one you have on. It doesn't make it completely irreversible if you weld it on, but I wouldn't want to weld and cut more than a few times. Hope this helps?
