Performance numbers/insight for ESS 575 Supercharger?

I am trying to make a decision related to getting IND to do an ESS Supercharger on my 2009 e92 DTC M3. From what I understand, this is the recommended model for a DTC equipt M3.

I am really trying to better understand where the additional power is delivered. In other words, will I see a substantial improvement in 0-60, or is it going to come mostly in the 60-120 range.

Can anyone who has this set-up please provide some insight?

Thank you in advance!

Thumbs up

I had 575 kit,I don't know about those #s for 0-60,but I had beaten a lambo 560,rolling from 40 to 100+s for about 2/3 car,I had stock 18' tire n x-pipe only,so if you were dct+hfc+better tire,you could go faster than a lot of fast car,just go for it

Thanks for the insight!

Do other ESS Supercharger owners have insight on where the power is gained. Will I see any real gain in the 0-60 mph, or will it only be in the 60-130 range?

Thanks! - David

Look at the dyno graphs for the VT2 kits (or any blown E92 M3 for that matter). The major increase in power occurs from 5,000 RPM and above. As such, you will see significant gains at any speed if you are above 5,000 RPM and have available traction.

I have the VT2-600 and traction is a problem below 3rd gear in a DCT. However, others have put on wider and stickier rubber that me with better results. If you are looking for 0-60 performance, you have the wrong platform as it is not all wheel drive.

Do you feel like 0-60 mph can get below stock - something in the mid to high 3 second range? The 60-130 would also be a fantastic addition, but I can't use it as often.

Knowing that traction may be the biggest challenge, with standard fenders, can I go with any wider tires on the stock 19" rims?

Your fenders wont be an issue, I know I have heard people have put a 315 tire on the rear, however your OEM 19's will dictate how wide you will go, presuming you have the standard 19" (not ZCP) personally I think 275 is as wide as you want to go. I run a 295, but I have 10.5 " rear wheels.

+1
0-60 is all about traction!

This video will help give you an idea. Keep in mind though this is with 305 drag radials.

Remind me, is 275 width stock for the rear tires on the OEM 19" wheels?
