New Top Gear suck!!!!!

State side Topgear sucks very bad!!! I don't know what the producers were thinking when they cast the show.
I can maybe understand Tanner for driving skills and car control but who the hell are the other two guys?
Their not funny or skilled drivers. I think they cast the tall guy because he's just tall like Clarkson and no another reason. The third guy is a comedian right? Then why is he not funny? I would be very suprised if this show makes another season at least not with this cast!

I love the BBC version but I agree with the OP that the US version sucks. The Brits have a much better sense of humor and comparatively, the Americans act like a bunch of idiots. Besides, the cars they review are not nearly as interesting. I stopped watching it after episode 2 or 3.

I made it 20 minutes into the first episode and couldn't stand to watch any more. I hope the ratings suck so bad it's pulled--watching paint dry would be more entertaining....

Tanner is ok but fat Tony Danza and Rutledge piss me off, especially the latter. He squeals like a fat pig, and just looks like a big dork with his trimmed beard and spiked hair.

Anyone who disagrees should watch the first few eps of TGUK first.

Tanner is progressively getting less douchey, Adam is getting more comfortable, and Wood is actually pretty good as the southern/nascar-lovin' american

Like all things new....they'll have to fine tune the shows EVERYTHING .......it'll all come together with time.

Even the UK crew had years to dial theirs in til it flowed nice.

It may require a cast change though....I was on set for episode #10 EL Toro's racetrack with some Z buddies.

Its just going to take some time. I hope they get it right.

i'm waiting for Ep 8 to come on my torrent site...

i dunno i kinda like it so far... not cuz its a GOOD show or anything but just cuz i love all thiings top gear... the cast definitely needs to become more comfortable and i sure hope they stop ripping off stunts from the UK version

A few of the US episodes have been good. I see more bizzare stuff on the US version than the UK version for sure. It seems like it is less about showcasing vehicles or comparing them and more about just doing outrageous stuff with them.

It seems as if they are trying to reach who they can in a prior UK fan-base all the while garnering what NEW fans they can within a NASCAR,Mythbuster,Speed Channel affair,lol.

They'd be REAL smart to put out a Poll to ask their audience members who actually watch car type shows what they think or foresee.....for no other reason than to get a feel for performance already bagged.

It's terrible... Love the BBC version, and the cars are pretty decent on the US versions, but the personalities just can't even come close to the BBC version. It pains me to watch it. There's a lot of fast forwarding to get through the painful "banter" that they have.

I was recently turned on to Top Gear from comments made on this forum. Over the holidays I got to watch many of the older UK episodes back to back via DVR. Hilarious!

The US version is coming around. Needs some tweaking. Not nearly as funny.

Best UK episode....the guys rolling through Alabama with "Hillary for President" and "Man-love is great" on the side of the cars. I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard.

I can't stand to watch it though. I find it hard to believe it will ever get close to the original UK Top Gear. They should have called it something other than Top Gear and taken the general idea and not try to make it an exact copy.

However it is by far better than the average car show you can find on Spike or Speed...

Agreed. No serious car lover would consider this a car show. It's all about staged "races" between cars and boats/planes/skiers. I did like the bit about the Velociraptor though, that thing took a beating.
