Windshield Frame Cover
Hi All,
My Driver side WINDSHIELD FRAME COVER is loose and it makes clicking sound on bumpy road. does anybody know how to replace this plastic part? here is the link of part i want to replace. it is number 1 part. http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/s...ssembly=262091 Thanks |

i'm was having a slightly similar problem, but my noise is coming from the rear window hatch trim (coupe). one of the plastic "anchors" was broken causing some noise.
they break easily. might be what your experiencing? |

that click sound is coming from that part where the arrow is. when i push that plastic piece on driver side it feels loose but i push the passenger side piece it feels tight. i dont know how to take that piece out to re-enforce it. does somebody know how to do it?

Maybe if you took it apart and applied thin felt strips? Not sure if that would help. What is amazing to me is the prices on the extended leather versions of the parts. $500 for each side and $855 for the top strip(vs $45 and $68 for the standard plastic parts). That is a lot of coin for small bits of leather. I bet you could have them covered in leather for less....

Although I dont encourage bit torrents, I also hate paying some clown on ebay for selling an illegal version of the TIS for 14 bucks. To answer your question, I just did.
