Plate Frame

Random question... for those of you that have the BMW license plate frame, whether its an M, M3, BMW, etc one... did you use the supplied spacers for between the plate and the car that it came with. The screws that I had weren't long enough so I went without them, it seemed to fit ok. Slightly worried that it might scratch the paint or something.

As far as I understand, you're not supposed to use the spacers on our M3s. We already have a raised "plate" on the rear. I tried to fit the spacers, but, like you said, the screws weren't long enough. I took the cover off after having it on for about a week, and didn't see any scratches or anything. The cover doesn't actually touch the paint, even without the spacers.
