WeissLicht LED Angel Eye Review
I purchased the WeissLicht LED Angel Eyes about a month ago and thought I would provide a review for anyone who is looking at various Angel Eye options.
Packaging/Quality The package and general quality of the product were good. I like that it comes with a tool which helps with the installation process. No damage or issues upon arrival. Installation The install is really pretty simple and I haven't messed with the light before. Takes about 15 minutes. When you twist the unit into place it fits snug but not as tight as the OEM bulb. After having them in for two weeks one of them rotated a bit so the bulbs weren't aligned correctly. I put a temporary fix in (small piece of duct tape). I plan to switch out the washers with the OEM ones that are a bit bigger and this should solve the problem. Would be nice if WeissLicht addressed this. Color The color of the angel eyes is greatly improved, white versus the stock yellow. It matches the OEM headlights nicely. I consider this a significant improvement, the OEM yellow makes the car look dated in my opinion. Brightness I would say they are slightly brighter than OEM, maybe 10-20%. With dark lighting they have very good visibility. In middle of the day (ie direct sunlight), I think they are less visible than the stock version. This has more to do with the color than the brightness. To me, the whiter light blends in more with the assembly than the yellow, making them a bit less visible. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase because I primarily wanted the change in color. If you are really looking for a much brighter angel eye, this isn't the right solution. |

What are some options regarding fitment issues?
Maybe taking out the OEM bulb gasket/rubber piece (whatever it's called) and replacing the WeissLicht ones with that?

Also, just to set expectations, I took these pictures directly in front of the angel eyes where they are the brightest. Just like the stock version, if you are off angle they are less bright. |

is the blue and red option 'not for street use' because of the possibility of looking like police lights?

Exactly, they are a VERY blue and VERY red...police car hues. This is against DOT regulations so we don't recommend it unless you like talking with cops or are building a show car.

I had this same problem with just one of mine. I dunno what varies, but 1 locks in tightly and one doesn't. I suspect that bending the tabs will fix it, but I can't find the little tool to take them out. I put a tie wrap around one of the tabs to hold the one that slips into place.

Hello gentleman and ladies, i got these led angel eyes and imam very disappointed in them. I had them for about 3 weeks then none side goes out. Everything was installed fine just got a error code and the light went out. So i ordered the LUX H8 angel eyes, they are little hard to instal but overall great product.
