PYSpeed | ARKYM AeroRace ONE - Exclusive Press Release
##FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - 11/01/10 – ARKYM.COM
------ 1, 100% and Complete - the ARKYM AeroRace ONE. This completely active, aerodynamic visual and funcitonal upgrade comprises of all Arkym AeroRace replacement products available for the BMW E90 M3 Sedan: As our designers had foreseen from the most robust aftermarket European automobile enthusiast community, the Arkym BMW lineup has been designed and honed from the ground up starting with the Aerosport add-on kits - for form, function and aesthetic appeal, starting with the renowned Arkym E9X Front Lip and ending with the AeroRace E90 Rear Replacement Bumper (with integrated diffusor strakes). As a natural progression, the newly released AeroRace ONE kit has finally arrived - all in due time. Enthusiastic lines and pronounced edges rest upon the front fascia intake channels to deliver an aggressive appearance, especially from a rear view mirror. In combination with an even further enhanced front lip for pure, downward aerodynamics – the final design thoughts were to bring the front-end a squarer aesthetic by widening the front replacement on each side, perfectly in line with the rest of the Arkym AeroRace ONE Kit when viewed straight on. For those seeking ultimate speed and performance, as we had mentioned, the ONE Kit is outfitted on a vehicle equipped with an ESS Tuning VT2-575 SuperCharger kit and mates perfectly to both the AeroRace Front Bumper Replacement and Vented Hood. Rest assured, all critical AeroRace engine and body panel areas involving an increase in horsepower, no matter small or large, is perfectly mated for use with all performance products available on the market today. Continuing the AeroRace ONE kit tour toward the rear of the vehicle, M3 enthusiasts may begin to notice the subtlety of the rocker panel/side skirts. More pronounced and taller conceptions of already defining OEM side skirts lines exist within the AeroRace Side Skirt Package to accent both front and rear bumper sporty appearances – matching visual depth, design and aerodynamic transfer from front to rear as much as possible. And the newest attraction to the AeroRace line remains with the unveiling of the AeroRace Rear Replacement Bumper with integrated aerodynamic diffusor fins. Viewing the replacement rear bumper from topside, one would first notice a vented triple bladed diffuser design, with a horizontal opening to bring an optimal heat release point beginning for the rear differential, transmission and exhaust tubing through to the exhaust tips. This exposed carbon integration protrudes 1.5” from the rear replacement panel and ends in a downward angle mirroring the OEM and AeroRace Trunk license plate area ‘trapezoid’ design to bring top-to-botom visual balance to the rear of the complete AeroRace ONE kit. It is, of course, nearly a requirement and or highly suggested that the aggressive AeroRace rear fascia be combined with one of many aftermarket exhaust options on the market. Since the quad tip cutouts have been enlarged to fit these systems, yet are perfectly in line with OEM exhaust, preserved mounting positions give enthusiasts an open option when choosing exhaust personality for their sedan. This vehicle has been equipped with a full titanium Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system with adjustable tips that maintain easy adjustability under the integrated diffuser. One last rear 3/4 quarter view of the rear replacement bumper brings an accentuated 1.5” detail cue line to tie into the OEM wheel well arches. ******** In bringing the Arkym AeroRace ONE kit to total completion for our vehicle, we engaged in the search to find aftermarket components to describe this particular look and feel: styled aggression. To hold the road and track and to provide adequate sport stance for our vehicle, we have employed fully adjustable KW V3 suspension. An appreciated lowered appearance enhances appeal of the ONE kit from all viewing angles, especially from the side profile. Inevitably, the vehicle also exists to be tested in completely high-speed environments, including the track, with its most unique feature, an Arkym Carbon/Kevlar modified ESS-VT2 Supercharger System (with DCT Software) able to withstand an extremely high-temperature every-day engine bay while holding composure when fully utilized in vigorous speed ventures. And working around all technicalities with ESS to deliver the ‘heart of power’ to a race-bred soul was quick, painless and extremely educational to say the least. And, of course, the ONE must be able to stop to an exhilarating halt after an exhibition of speed. Given the tuning capabilities and performance modifications, we turned to Brembo USA / RaceTechnologies to inform and equip the vehicle with their large 380mm Brembo Big Brake Kit all around in stunning performance yellow. After mere mention of this project build, a quick and lightweight 20” recommendation by HRE Wheels was well underway with HRE Performance Wheels Type P40s (20x9F, 20x10,5R) in brushed aluminum finish. As a perfect mated concavity pairing with the 380mm Brembo discs – finishing off the combination requires adequate road grip provided from the highly decorated and performance reviewed Hankook ES V12 Evo tires (255/30/20F, 305/25/20). The following current and complete modification list involved to suit the Arkym AeroRace ONE kit (above) comprises of these specialty upgrades: Model:
External ARKYM Modifications:
Internal ESS Tuning Modifications:
Additional Modifications:
Arkym design and fabrication process philosophies revolve around a continual enthusiast-driven reinvention of functionally styled products across many vehicle platforms. We choose production methods and materials in carbon creation that every automotive aficionado would be proud to display on their vehicles for every driving situation. Given the choice to provoke emotion for either the coupe or sedan, we chose to create the AeroRace ONE kit specifically for the E90 M3 Sedan in order to provide 4-door enthusiasts an entry into their wants and needs in a predominantly coupe-based aftermarket aerodynamic kit scene. Although this build is not without question on whether or not E92 M3 development has already progressed, all we can promise is a confident, “Stay tuned”, as we continue onward in producing quality products for our most discerning consumers. Honorable mention and very special thanks to the following establishments: Thank you to our customers for your continued support and enthusiasm toward the Arkym brand. -ARKYM Staff For more information, http://www.arkym.com or contact your local authorized reseller. -------- |

I think the only draw back is, the pictures of the front bumper is a bit too close (maybe taken with wide angle lens?) and it doesn't give enough details. never the less, COTM! |

Do you guys think its possible to have the front PDC holes done for Euro-Specs M3s? Am extremely keen on this front bumper for E92. Non-CF version that is.
