Break in period for Akrapovic Slip-On

Hi Guys! Does anyone know how long is the break in period of the Akra Slip-On to get to its optimum noise level? Does it still get any louder? Does the noise still change overtime? Higher pitched? Hope to hear from Akra owners. Many thanks in advance!

There's a break in period? My evo system sounds good now and I've had it for a couple days. I really hope it doesn't get any louder

If anything, I feel that my Akrapovic Evolution is a bit quieter now than when I first got it. Or my ears are getting used to it...

Anything louder would be too loud for my taste. It's juuuuust right ;-)

I was under the impression that all exhaust has some break in period and wanted to validate this from Akra owners here at the forum. Akra owner's please chime in. I just had my Akra slip-on installed a few days ago and I think it sounds perfect as of now as far as loudness and the exotic noise it produces. I hope it doesn't get any louder over time. Thanks!

Most exhausts will get quieter as deposits settle on their walls. When you drive it hard for extended periods - such as a track day - they get louder for few days.

I am glad you like it, I am considering it as well,

I've only known exhausts to get louder over time. I've owned many exhausts on many cars and not once has one ever gotten quieter. In fact all have gotten louder to some degree

Mine is louder, no doubt. Even my wife noticed and thought I replaced it with something louder.

I also noticed my stock exhaust got a bit louder over a period of time. Anyway, if its just a little bit louder like what happened to my stock exhaust then its still ok. I love my Akra! The incredible weight savings, build quality and the exhaust noise is just perfect for DD and track days as well!

Been considering the slip-on as well. How much louder would the slip-on be over stock?

A little. Not loud at all. You can hear it though and can def tell there's an aftermarket exhaust on the car. It sounds real nice.

I would say its about 20% louder than stock. But the bass rich sound definitely makes it sound more exotic. It sounds really awesome without being too loud and no drone either. Just perfect in my humble opinion!
