Has Anyone Tried the BMW Multi-Fix?
Interesting item. Here's a photo/description:
Multi-Fix It's a genuine BMW part. Basically, it's a series of brackets, with rubber on the bottom to keep them from sliding. You use the various brackets to form a sort of frame around the item. The black box you see in the pic is just an example of something being held in place. (Apparently, the brackets come in the small gray box pictured.) Here's a pic of all the parts: Multi-Fix Parts Here's a link to a forum where some people say it works. Multi-Fix Discussion But I'm not convinced. Seems to me that, unless you're dealing with something that's a square or rectangle shape, with flat bottom surface, and a very low center of gravity, it's just not gonna stay in place. But maybe that's just the skeptic in me. |

These might be nice if you always carried a laptop or briefcase in the trunk, something that you dont want all dinged up but I dont think they would do much for things that werent square... I think the cargo net that some people have would be more practical

I can't picture anything the multi-fix would be good for. The OEM grocery bag hanger also looks pretty useless to me. I have a soft-sided organizer in my trunk and another smaller one flattened behind my passenger seat.
