Coding

Sorry, but I couldn't figure where to post(also posted thread on DIY), if it is not appropriate please move it or please do whatever action needed. Thanks.

I was wondering if it is possible to learn how code BMWs.
Any info on this matter is greatly appreciated.
Also would like to learn how to tune/write DMEs(ECUs).

Anyone willing to share the knowledge please PM me.

so to code all I need is Auto Logic? how do I get new codings?

If you want to modify the programming, then you'll need something like a CMD interface and software.
I would also like to learn how to program the car, like what you did so I can put new idrive controller or the CIC.
Here in Japan, which I am in now has totally different stuff than NA market or the Euro models.
For Example, the NA models and Euro models uses HDD in the CCC for the navigation, but the Japanese model doesn't use CCC HDD, instead the is another HDD navigation unit right above the 6-disc cd changer unit in the trunk.

Also the idrive program version is different also. I bought all the stuff to have the new idrive controller, because I thought that it was PnP. But it didnt work, I even looked and got like three controller that were different part number which none of them worked fully.

So I want to master it a bit, so I can try to become some what of a BMW programmer. Even spending some good amount of money.

Can anyone help?! Are there any place/person who are willing to pass the knowledge of coding cars?!
I am not saying it for free, and I am not going to be a cheap ball.
And I will only do business in Japan.

Try sending a PM to Tom@EAS. He has democratized his knowledge on coding with others in the past, and he may be willing to help. You two should think big -- start up EAS' Japan branch!

(I'm only half joking).

Thanks for your advice. How have you been? I have sent the PM to you about the springs, but didn't get no reply. Sorry I wasn't any help to you. I apologize about that.

I give it a try, by e-mailing TOM@EAS.
Thanks!!

I'm good Sorry for not replying earlier, but I got swamped at work during that time.

How's life in Tokyo treating you? I was out that way in April and meant to drop you and Soaristo a note, but ran out of time. Next time, yeah?

By the way, it looks like there's someone else in Japan interested in coding. You two should get in touch:
