Thanks guys. I really appreciate the support. It's been amazing to have both N54 and N55 driven back to back. I love BMWs and always know there are trade offs. any problem with these cars is justified and negated by the Joy of Driving. Somebody asked about the difference of teh engines. I started a thread and had some coments about the engines:

Hey Trojan4evr,
You know you should post your thoughts of the two motors: N54 vs N55. Are both cars autos? I would like to hear your thoughts on the power and lag difference. Also DCT vs slush-box. |

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. the N54( AT W/ paddle shifters) feels torquier due to the gear ratio. DCT in the N55 is heavens and you can see where the engine shines in higher gears and RPMs. Kinda back to basics for N55; I'd say BMW have gotten closer to their identity wich was revier engines.
( So the point is that N55 feels revvier than N54) |
