Do i have to install the Performance exhaust at the dealer
I am planning to buy the Perf exhaust online not from the dealer because there price is 200 more than United and Tischer.
My friend has shop the deals with Bimmers and Prosches and I want to know if i installed that parts there, am risking my warranty? is there any issues with non-BMW dealer installing this part? obviously i will not be taking it of as JB3 when i go to service. Thanks for your help.

My understanding is that if you have it installed at an independent, the part is still warranted (one year, I think) but labor is not. Still, probably worth doing it at an independent.

I wondered that myself.
It's a BMW part...so it's an approved mod. Will the 4/50k still apply? miiipilot Will a BMW dealership install the m3 front sway to the 135?

There is no warranty if not installed at a BMW dealer. Not worth the risk in my opinion...

IF you buy the parts from a BMW dealer "A" and have dealer "B" install the parts... as long as you keep the reciepts - you will be covered parts AND labor. PS: for anyone who doesn't believe me... go and ask your local dealer OR... PM Dan@United. I am sure they will say the same thing. |

You are right as long as it is a BMW dealer... I did that with mine. I ordered online and had it installed at my dealer before taking delivery of the car... If you do it yourself or have it installed at an independent, you can't go back to BMW for a warranty claim.

It should be just a little over one hour of labor from the BMW dealer. Worth it in my opinion.
