Black looks sharp, but I think the LeMans Blue is less common (tho I could be wrong on that). I'd say stick with the blue.

Looks great in both, pick what you like best!

If it's a pickem for you, then maybe choose the more practical blue. Black needs a lot of upkeep or it looks dingy.

Stick with Le Mans Blue I own a 128i in Le Mans Blue -- so beautiful! Black looks great too, but it can look dirty real quick.

lemans is more common in europe than the US. that being said black is just popular no matter where you go.

I've had 8 of my 11 cars in black and I'm trying to get away from that now so I say go blue, its a nice color on the 1er. Plus london rains a lot doesn't it? Youre gonna be washing that thing non stop. blue will hide it a little more... gray or silver would be best.

I've got the Jet Black. It's a pain in the ass to maintain and any little scratch will annoy you to no end. If you don't want to wash it constantly, go le mans blue.

However, if you put in the effort, nothing looks sharper than black.

Black looks great on any car, until 10 minutes after its washed.

My last car was black and it looked awesome right after a wash. It attracted pollen, dirt, bugs, etc. It was filthy soon after a wash though. No joke, I gave my car a nice wash, made it shine. Not 15 minutes later it was yellow, completely covered in pollen. I vowed never to buy another black car again, no matter how great it looks.

I almost bought a blue 135i, but I really wanted the coral red interior and didnt want the "superman" look. I originally wanted Sparkling Graphite Metallic, but they discontinued that color So I went with Space Grey.

I had a Laser turbo in a similar color to Le Mans blue. It too was hard to keep clean. Dark rick colors are nearly as hard to keep clean as black is.
But, just like black, they look rich and glossy, beautiful when they are clean for the first couple of hours, after you've spent 4hrs cleaning and waxing.

OP, stay with the LM Blue. It's a really cool shade and looks right on a car like the 135i, very sporty.

What color interior?
Terra looks really nice with the blue.
If you don't mind a bit of extra car to stay clean, Savannah looks very classy for an interior, especially with the sporty blue exterior.

+1 on the pollen... hell even my DSB you get almost the same thing, I just get to go an extra day (maybe two) until I have to wash now. TiAg will probably buy you another day or two on top of that.

Le Mans is not hard to clean at all. Just the other day someone commented with "Wow you keep your car so clean" when I haven't washed it in almost 3 weeks. You just don't see any dirt on it except the dirt kicked up by the tires or if it rains a lot. My last car was black and I had to wash it every week or it would look horrible. I hated it.

My vote for blue.

Black tough to keep clean and a much more common color.

The biggest problem with any bmw with regards to keeping clean is the damn brakes.

My five is orient blue, very dark might as well be black, lemans much better. When looking for my one I was down to red blue and white. Just my preference.

Black and blue

Black is a pain as many have said. I've had black cars and I've had blue cars/trucks....now I have a LeMans blue 135 that will be accented with black, as in grills, wheels, trim, ect....

But I gotta say, IMO this LeMans blue looks fantastic in bright light while the black cars I've had look best in street lights..

Check out this photo...whenever I walk up to the car, I smile because the blue just glows and accentuates the red tail lights nicely....

Enough for now...go black and blue ;-)

I have the Le Mans blue 128i. The color is fairly unique, since in the US, you can only have it with the M Sport package. Previous BMW was a Z3 coupe in sapphire metallic. I have to say blue is awesome. Black was pretty, but only when clean. The new car is pretty dirty after 700 miles of random, rainy weather driving. It still looks great anyway! I think you made a good choice. I wish we could get the small diesels her, but so far, no dice.

We don't get the Savannah option here in the UK.

Le Mans (or even Montego) with Terra is one of the options I'm considering at the moment...

But I'd really prefer Coral Red interior......but don't want Black, Silver, SG or AW exterior

I love my Le Mans blue. Probably a little easier than black to keep clean
