REAR Taillights out
So I found out last night that both of my rear light are not coming on.
At first I thought strange but maybe both bulbs went out. I checked all 10 bulbs and all of them were good. Checked all connection and I had power everywhere, but no light. Puzzled by this I took the car in this morning. Turned out that if your LED in the rear light go out both tailights need to be replaced. Must be occuring frequently as my dealer had lights in stock and I was back on the road 45 minutes later. Another reason why I am thankfull that I only leased this car. This biotch will be real expensive to maintain once the warranty will run out. Lubo |

The SIB is 63 03 10. It affects 1-Series that were manufactured between August 20, 2007 and October 12, 2009.
If both tail lights are working they will replace the tail light seals. If one or both tail lights are not working they will replace the tail lights.

I scheduled the appointment in September to have the tail light changed due to recall.
But this morning, I found out someone put a whole/cracked my tail light lens/cover. How will that affect the recall? I just the find out that the tail light will cost me about $180.00 to replace. Do you think that since there is a recall on the tail light already? they can change the tail light lens/cover out of charge. Or this is a totally different issue. |

Mine went out last week. Dealership was able to fix it the same day.

Hi... Don't let the dealer talk you into just the seals.. We had the seal replaced and drove 10 miles and both lights went out again.. Insist on replacing both lens units... They will do it but only with a little prodding....
