DTC vs DSC... can someone explain the difference?

I'm trying to read more about this online and am still confused . I thought there was only one "traction control" thing that cut power from the wheels to avoid spinning out of control..but I keep reading posts that use the terms DTC and DSC as if they were two completely unrelated things, and keep reading about people turning them on or off... in other words, what the hell does each one do (and and more importantly what they don't when they're turned off!)

Here's one I have bookmarked. It explains the differences pretty well.
