With 100 views and not 1 compliment, i imagine most on this forum are being nice and not negative on the DRY look CF...I realized that 99% of the folks here like the WET glossy look and it looks nice iMO as well, but over the top for me.. I have alway's been one to follow his own path regardless of popular views..Interesting enough out of the 7 folks and 2 tuners who have seen my car ALL have like the DRY CF and preferred it to the WET.... iCarbon also has expressed there liking of the DRY as well..So Thanks to all who were nice enough to take a look as well as not being negative...There must be someone out there though who like the DRY look....where are you?.LOL what it is it is. I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks man!!!....Actually the diffuser shots came out grainy and did not show the real detail and in person has more sheen than it it showing... .need to re-shoot someday and the front Kidney Grills were re-shot last night without the funky big LP holder behind the CF LP Holder..The front bumber looks much bette,r but no where near as nice as with no plate at all....i have been harassed in NJ driving without a plate as well as tint so..... ..

I think the dry just really looks great on Sedona.
Props for going outside the norm on this - I really think it looks fantastic with the Sedona Red. Sets off the Red and certainly doesn't hurt how the diffuser and grilles look. High-five! |

Thanks everyone!!! I will go out the next sunny day and take another shot of the diffuser as i took the picture at 7 at night when the sun was setting...It is actually darker and more contrasty than the pictures show and does have a mild sheen to it.. it is actually darker than the Kidney grills with more sheen....in reality it looks much bettert than these pictures...

Looks great....I think I would have gone with iCarbon's dry look had I not already had the BMW Mirror Caps and spoiler by the time I ordered the iCarbon stuff...I think the dry look would have looked nice on Space Gray

Looks great! Props to you for going with the dry rather than the wet; it's refreshing to see someone doing something a bit different. I'm doing the iCarbon 1x1 weave which, acc. to contacts with them, is far less common than the 2x2.... adds to the fun and bit of difference to the ride.

thanks again everyone!!!!
yea Andy sent me a picture of the 1x1 weave...it's awesome man and you are in for a treat!! iCarbon is really HIGH on the 1x1 weave and indeed you will be one of the few who is going that route is it DRY or WET??...can't wait to see your pictures....when is it going to be done?? IMO stay with the 1x1 weave on any other CF mods it will look hot!!! I am also on the GB for the Alufelgen SF71's and will be putting Matte Black or Dark Gunmetal rims on as soon as the GB gets solid....a Christmas gift for the 1 !!!!!!!! Got a crimson red car with black roof, so am going with wet. The parts are going to HPF so they can do the install and review their quality, and possibly be a vendor fir them. Won't be all done until late September, but well worth the wait. Mario and Andy at iCarbon are great to work with as are the guys at HorsePower Freaks! Will post pics when it's all done.

[QUOTE=ddigangi;7831208]looks great buddy, not a huge fan of the red but like i said the diffuser looks wonderfull
indeed !! My first Red Sedonna performance car,,,and the 1st picture with the Wizard is it's true color. I have alway's had BLACK or DARK GREY cars with gunmetal rims....it was time for a change as i missed the contrast very much of the trim and the car color as i had a pretty monotone looks for years...after having SO MANY black cars i have overdosed on the color and was time for a change...i still have a DD black car in my driveway. To be honest i really like all the 135i colors except the powder blue thingy.....that color looks good on a kids interior room...but it's subjective..so to each his own. quote brady "Like the dry look! Be sure to post more pics when your baby gets the rims!!" Thanks man...i am very excited about he rims, and finally will have a car with some contrast between the color of the car and its rims...and next week i am hoping to put new pictures up of the diffuser in its correct shade it is a little darker.. |
