MB or M3
Just wanted to introduce the latest member of my happy family. I test drove the new 535, but it simply does not compare to the Merc. It's very difficult deciding what to drive every morning!
Here's some pics of the family |

Nice choice!
I debated long and hard about getting a new MB E coupe before I got my M3 coupe. If I was looking for a 4 door, I would have chosen the E. Its such a refined car, and it handles surprisingly well. IMHO its a few notches nicer than the 5 series. |

Agreed. The interior in the 5 wasn't appealing at all and seemed to be a lot cheaper then the Merc. I fear I'm being corrupted by the silver star. I've got my eye on a SL63 AMG, which means my M3 might be for sale.

Is that the e350? I had a e550 coupe as a loaner!! Very very sexy car! It also had the amg appearance package.
Congrats on your purchase!! |

That is quite funny Dee as my wife before ordering the 335is went and looked at the E coupes & cabs and thought they were old peoples cars and were not as nice as her old CLK 430.Do not forget that she has had 6 Benzes in the past. She did like the SL65 though

I have to say I had a new 2011 535I fully loaded for a few days a coupel of weeks ago and it absolutely kills the interior look of the Merc.
The new NAV screen is 2 times the size and beautiful. It's an 8 speed tranny and is amazing on gas for such a big car. I like the exterior styling of the new E's though.

I was actually seriously considering a C63. The price was about the same as the E350, but at the end of the day I wanted a bigger car and something better on the fuel. The C63 is an absolute gas pig.

No as they were not there yet.She looked at the E550 coupe when we were at an AMG special event and did not like it as much as the 335.A client got a E550 cab and I drove it and it is not a very driver focused car.The other big issue for us is the fact that it has a cloth roof which is a no go with my wife. The Audi S5 cab was another alternative but has the same issue. The 335is has been a very good choice but my wife hates the sport exhaust

The SL is a great car, one of the few true mercedes cars out there I used to have the current bodystyle R230 2004 SL600 w/AMG Sport Package tuned by Renntech prior to the M3 and it was unbelievable Stock it was 493bhp 590lbft torque but chipped (TCU + ECU) it was pushing 625bhp and about 745lbft torque At the time the SL55AMG was present, but it didnt have the same panache and performance, luxury that the SL600 has with the V12 BiTurbo, it was silky smooth and handled amazingly. I had more hp then a stock SL65 or even a SLR Something about V12s especially when they are fitted with turbos! It was honestly one of the best roadsters I had ever owned, and infact I still drool over the SL whenever I see one.

Because the current generation SL is almost 9 years old, despite the facelift in 2009, it was introduced in 2002 as a 2003 model! 2011 SL63's and other trims (600, 65, 550) are already available in the market, which means expect to see the new SL's arrive next year. I say wait for the new generation SL or get something else, an R8 V10 convertible?
