Dyno result: ECU and Akrapovic

Added the Akrapovic Full Evolution System to my car and modded the ECU.
Last Friday i went on a dyno at my local BMW Dealer. It was a Cartech AWD Dyno.
The result: 392 RWHP and 430 NM / 317.11 lbft of torque.

I didn't dyno the car before. I still get angry about it.

Akrapovic plus chip tune equals solid gains! Since the OP is from Europe his power should be about right. He probably meant to say PS not HP. PS is rated slightly more

That's right. 392 PS means 386,64 hp.

392 PS equals 386 HP

Akrapovic = 22.2 HP
Chip tune = 29 HP

Equals 51.2 HP

392 seems quite high for just 2 modifications. He might have a pulley and BMC air filter and that would be pushing the limit.

I only modified the Exhaust und the Software. No additional mods like airfilter.
I had 3 runs on the dyno. Allmost similar results.

Daaayum is that tune safe?? Such high gains may sacrifice some reliability. Still, add some pulleys and a new air filter and you should be 400+ WHP!

I think ESS quoted 25-29 HP for gains from both the ECU tune and the same Akrapovic system.

They always brag about their gains and never post any dyno runs to support their gains. Every single buyer has to fork out 800 to over 1000 EURO for an ECU tune an the seller of the tune can't even provide a simple dyno run and upload it to their website to show the customers of the gains they achieved. They simply want you to just send them money and buy their product

How hard is it to simply upload a DYNO Graph onto your own website of the gains you achieved to market the product or tune you are selling or trying to sell. People that want ECU tunes want gains and want to see gains.

Very nice!!! That's great power.

DCT or Manual??? What gear was the dyno runs done in.

I'm still trying to figure out what gear I should do my next set of Dyno runs in. I have the DCT transmission with all the Dinan mods, except for throttle bodies. Including the 3.62 RE. I only hit 368 RWHP (Dynojet) using 5th gear, and I thought that was good based on what I've seen on the forum.

392 RWHP is pretty damn good for bolt-ons and an ECU tune

Wow you lost only 20hp through the drivetrain! That's like 5% losses. Did you check if you have any oils in your diff & gearbox?

May need another Dyno run to confirm those gains
