We've seen this before but the website isn't in English which was a deal-breaker for most of us.
Anyways, iCarbon have already released a carbon fiber M3 style hood at a much cheaper price. Out of interest, how much are the fenders? |

What's the point of buying new fenders if they aren't any wider than stock?
Also instead of spamming the forum by posting in mutiple sections you can be in a place designed just for you the commercial sales section! |

If you look at the pics on the website the fenders actually say M3 which look totally wrong on a 1 series if you ask me. Also, the hood they have for sale is 1250 Euros which is roughly US$1600. iCarbon is cheaper and they have proven themselves with quality, fit and finish. |

I personally own the iCarbon carbon fiber diffuser and carbon fiber front lip and am 110% happy with the quality though. I doubt you will sell many of these on this forum as the iCarbon range is better value and they are looking to clean up the market for carbon fiber parts for the 1 series. Their prices are extremely competitive. Also, your website is not user-friendly for people who cannot read or speak German. |

Google Chrome auto translator Shipping on all this stuff from Germany to the States, especially on the hood, would be extremely expensive. |

What is this prepreg stuff he's goin on about? Honestly the hood looks exactly the same as the ICarbon m3 dome hood. I like to look of that hood over the vors actually, and its still very functional, lighter and uses ALL oem hardware to install which is a plus for me. If i was ever to get a new hood, it def be with ICarbon..

Prepreg is short for pre-impregnated cloth. The stuff comes in rolls with the carbon or glass already wetted out with resin. Most prepregs require an autoclave cure but many will work with an oven cure or even room temp cure. ICarbon uses RTM or resin transfer molding which uses a multi-piece closed mold. The cloth is laid in the mold, the mold is closed and resin is injected into the mold. There is a variation of this called VARTM or vacuum assisted resin transfer molding. This just pulls the resin through the cloth with a vacuum instead of pushing it through with pressure. You see this a lot in boat hull construction. VARTM and RTM produce great parts for car applications, where prepreg is more geared towards aerospace applications where you need to keep an exact resin content in the product for physical properties. Any of these three processes will make great parts.
