My new diffuser. Thanks iCarbon!
I just installed my iCarbon CF diffuser. I ordered it about a week or so ago and it arrived fast (which was really nice considering it was free shipping and I was expecting to wait about 3 weeks). I bought it directly from iCarbon at http://www.shopicarbon.com/. I could not be more happy with it. Fit = 10/10, Finish = 10/10. It was incredibly easy to install and in my opinion it looks amazing.
Here are the pics: Also, they send you a free t-shirt, and who does not like a free t-shirt. I can not say enough good things about the guys at iCarbon, they answered their emails instantaneously, and b/c I forgot my t-shirt size on the order form they called me on a Saturday night to ask me. (1. who do you know works on a Saturday night? 2. They left me their cell phone number to call them back…. Crazy customer service if you ask me).

Nice. I love a company with good customer service since this is a key ingredient lacking in most businesses these days.
I hate to point this out but what is up with the center section of the diffuser? It looks like a separate piece of carbon fiber was used there as you can see the seams. |

I am glad you brought that up. I took these pics about 2 hours ago at high noon in direct sunlight. (I know I broke the "rules" of photography but I was so impressed w/ this thing I had to share...). In real life you have to get about 6 inches away from it to see the "seam" but in reality, you can't see anything like that with your eye from the spots where I took the pics. My buddy has the BMWP $xxxx CF diffuser and you see the exact same thing, I think it is just the contours (is that the right word?) of the shape that makes it look like a seam.

The lighting in the picture just brings it out more. I don't think those are cracks though.

I will take some more pictures when the sun calms down a bit. They are definitely not cracks.

I don't think they are either; just where the material was possibly over-lapped. If it was over-lapped, they did a good job at aligning the matrix to make it the same.

Hey guys! Just to clear this up, we use the same method many different high-end manufacture uses, including BMW Performance - which is to use several pieces of the outer-most carbon fabric in order to create a continuous and straight carbon weave. If you don't do that, you end up with all those crazy "S" patterns you've all seen before.
To clear this up even a little more, this particular piece was purchased at a discounted price for being a B stock piece, and even then, the tiny separation is not visible in person unless you are within 6 or 7 inches away from the piece If you've seen an OEM BMW Performance piece, you'll notice the same cuts, in the same places, and that's in order to keep a continuous weave throughout large pieces that are not flat pieces (like a hood) such as this diffuser. Hope this provides a little more insight! Car looks AWESOME! So clean!! Keep up the great work - Andy |

Wow loving the CF diffuser on the red.. but what bothers me is those tips... usually the tips won't look so pertruded once you have an aftermarket diffuser like the one I have on mine but damn yours is still sticking out far.. which exhaust is that?

You should have seen how far they were sticking out before the diffuser..... It is the BMWP Exhaust.

Looks nice, yep those iCarbon folks are great! Just FYI to those checking out these pic...this is a version 1 diffuser cut from B-stock...you can tell by looking at the wrap of the CF. They have greatly improved and perfected the carbon fiber process as you can see from my pictures. Just an fyi for those anal folks like myself. ICarbons stuff is 100% perfect!

I had a great experience with iCarbon, excellent service after the sale! My first diffuser had a defective screen and iCarbon immediately replaced it with a new diffuser and paid all shipping costs (mine was an early one shipped out in Jan). They were polite, responsive and responsible - there's not any higher praise I can think of; I would order from them again in a heartbeat.
Here's a photo of mine when first installed at 475 miles, it now has about 3k on it and no problems whatsoever. I really love the fit and finish, not to mention the weight reduction. pge |

Yes, good eye. Touring HP hooked to stock mid-pipes. At first I begin to wonder if I should had gotten the GT, but the it's opened up considerably since installation. Just a lovely sound quality and about the right volume for me, distinctly noticeable but not window-rattling. When the weather permits, I always roll down the windows before I start the 1-er up, just so I can enjoy the sound.
