New Brake Pads

Guys

After doing another trackday on the OEM pads it's time for them to go due to the brake fade. Going to replace the pads and brake fluid but don;t want any pads which are going to squeal during normal use. Look at the Pagid RS-19 but are they going to squeal.

Don't really want to spend on a set of AP's due to the cost which I know is the best route to take from previous experience

Anyone one got any ideas which ones are the best to go for?

Cheers guys

Speak to s99ane, he got some pads over from the states and highly rates them.

might be worth getting braided hoses. I had this done on my last m3 and it made a big difference. Also worth getting some proper brake fliud rather than the lemsip BMW put in the car.

With a few track days planned this summer I’m looking to do the same as the OP so will watch this thread with interest. Some additional info…. Local Stealer wanted around £900 to fit BMW sports pads. I can however get a set of RS-19’s for around £650 and fit myself however Stealer said they would still need to reset the computer based service system due to the pad wear sensors to ensure no brake warning alarms are falsely active… Not sure if that’s a money making claim or not? Is it not best to disconnect the pad sensors if on the track with upgraded pads anyway? Will the elevated temperatures not melt the sensors if not? As an alternative to RS-19’s someone suggested Yellow Stuff pads, any feedback welcome?

Hi Seadog do a search on the E90 forums. There is a way to reset the idrive for any of the service intervals. If your stuck drop me a line I think I saved it somewhere. Did it when I changed my pads and works a treat.
