My second HPDE. (Road Atlanta) 135i
Here is a link to two laps from my final session at Road Atlanta last weekend. A fellow 1addict was my instructor for the weekend and he was awesome!
Here it is...

I have the whole 20 minute session, I just figured everyone would get bored with it. I may upload the rest to YouTube sometime this week.

Love seeing people drive their 1's the way they were meant to be driven. God I need to go to the track soon.
Thanks for sharing!

It was good to see another 1 out there. I had my 135 at RA for the 4th time last weekend. The torque is great when it comes to running down your fellow drivers out of 5and 7. Stay with it. I hope to see you at Roebling or Barber this spring.
Save up for brake pads! |

I was riding shotgun in that video, and it was great fun indeed.
I also did right seat with a guy in a E92 M3, and noted that the speeds at various places on the track were almost identical, but the experience was just so different. The V8 in the M3 just wails at full song, while the 135 goes just as fast with far less drama. I think tkbr0wn will agree, there's more to being quick on the track than HP. The fatality last weekend at CMP makes me think about why I do this stuff, but I believe the experience gained on the track makes street driving more safe. I can now drive to work and be quite content to watch people blow by. I just think to myself: "Come see if you can run with me on the weekend at the track." |

After riding shotgun with you in the last session, I think the answer to that would be a resounding "NO"

There are also non-BMWCCA events, such as DarkSide and SeatTime at Roebling before then that you may want to consider. I'm signed up for DarkSide 4/30-5/2. |

Peachtree opens some time in April: http://peachtreebmwcca.motorsportreg.com/ I’m signed up for the DarkSide event now. Go to www.clubregistration.net and search for organization Dark Side Driving Events. I'm still thinking about SeatTime. |

Great vid tk! I registered for the spring event but had to cancel because of other commitments. I'm definitely planning to be there for the Roebling event.
Maybe I'll be able to bring the project E36 along as well! |
