Angel eyes

Thinking about buying some angel eyes for the e92 m3, what brand should I go with?

How much you want to spend? I got GP Thunder 8500k H8 bulbs from eBay for $16 shipped... they are not the brightest, but they do the trick just fine and let's me spend money on other mods.....

Exactly, there are tons of solutions out there depending on what you want to spend and how involved you want to get. I think an LED based solution is the best bet, most kits are plug and play and reasonably priced. They do the job of changing the color and are not overly bright.

I really don't want to spend more than $150. If I can get a decent set for around that price range, ill go for it. Although $16 sounds pretty good, I am willing to spend some more for a reliable brand from a reliable vendor. I have looked at OSS design before and really liked them, but they are way too expensive. Aren't they like $500?

Also, I would like an easy install, preferably plug and play. What are most people currently using? Any vendor suggestions? Pictures?

I don't think I need to check your reviews, I have seen your posts for the past year or so and I know your product is legit! What do people usually go for as far as brightness, color, etc.?

I'm liking the 8000k. Can you please send me some more pictures of the 8000k if you have any? And also, does this kit get rid of the amber corner lights? Sorry, I don't know much about lighting.

GP Thunders 100000% Are $15 and are better than 90% of them out there. I think the only ones better are OSS, and you have to take apart the headlight for those...

You have many options.. if you're looking for something that's simple and PnP I would recommend the Lux H8 or Angel iBright.

If you're looking for a custom setup which will allow you to have multiple options (blackout, amber delete, LED turn signal, etc..) then go with OSS Designs

$700 to be exact. You pay for 2 ways shipping and it's $530 or so for the lights and install. I spend like $800 total for mine I think.

I wouldn't get them. Bad customer service and the failure rate is very high with that HID kit. IMO get GP thunders or LUX H8 and call it a day. No need for wire taping or trying to hide wires later.

I have Lux H8 and couldnt be happier. Bright and even, easily visible during the daytime. Can't go wrong with these.

A hyperwhite bulb like the GP Thunders will be cheap and easy but will not get the pure white color of an LED based setup. It's a tradeoff there in terms of color and price.

At this point, I am trying to decide between Lux and Camaross. OSS is beautiful, but too expensive so out of the question.

So basically, Lux is LED and Camaross is HID right?

What is the main advantage of LED over HID? Also, I see that lux only offeres 6500k when Camaross offers different choices. Is 6500k Lux a drastic change over stock?

LUX is by far the best, Im almost getting sick of saying it already in all these threads. I have had all the options, HIDs, LEDs, bulbs and LUX is BY FARRRRRRRRRRRRR the best solution for our cars! go Lux

Yes! HIDs aree too bright in your angel eyes. as soon as you step back 10 feet or more it becomes a blur, it almost looks like your headlights are on. I think HIDs are pretty much the worst set up to have, the inner ring IS SOOO bright that the outter looks weak. Its just not a good set up, go with LUX . YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I have been running them for almost a year and never had a problem since and they are visible during the day in sunlight

6500k is a big difference over stock. Stock will look yellow in comparison to the white/blue that the 6500k will look like.

Also, HID's a really nice during the day as they are the most visable of all the options. That being said, they are so bright that at night the inner ring will look like a blob of light. No sharp definition in the angle eye what so ever.

The LUX on the other hand will look bright during the day and amazing at night. The rings will also be sharp and very defined.

camaross all the way. bright and defined in the day and at night. the "blob of light" argument is laughable. i have 6000k D1S with the 12,000k angels and it is far from a blob of light. turns heads too.

I've had it man, and hes a great guy so I hate to put down his product but its not the best solution. It is VERY much a blob of light, you have to be blind to say it isn't. The rings are not clearly visible OR well defined unless you are within 3-4 feet of the car, as soon as you step back more than 10 feet they become a big blob/blur of lights. No definition of the two circles. THAT my friend is a FACT!
