Baby bottle brush! This works very well in conjunction with your favorite spray-on wheel cleaner on both the surface and the inside portion of the wheels along with the hub, caliper(s) etc...

That could work in a pinch but I got the EZ Detail Brush and it works awesome with the ability to bend it to get behinf the spokes and it wont damage the finish at all. The 15-20 bucks is worth it.
