R A C Monolite RG63 +1????

Question for members of the board... Are there any of you interested in seeing the next step of this awesome project? That's right, a 20inch version of this wheel???

Obviously the initial group was interested in performance above all else, now for the peeps who like the bling, (and there's nothing wrong with that...) are there enough of us who would love to convince Shep and RAC to produce a lightweight (for 20's) version for us???

Starting a feeler list of those who would be seriously interested.

The idea/concept of the RAC's is not bling. Hence, I doubt it.

In its purest form that maybe true. But, for a competitive price and a superior product, those folks looking at say a certain forged monoblock wheel would love the opportunity to purchase a wheel in a size they prefer along with the technological benefits e.g. 8000 ton forging, lighter weight...

While I can completely understand why you would want RAC's for your car, there is something about a lightweight 20" wheel for our cars that seems irrelevant to me.

I say go with the 19" group buy - 19's seem to be ideal for our cars. Look at the pics - they look awesome!

For some reason, I feel like the "blingers" could not care less about 8000 tonne forging(except for bragging rights) or the weight savings they could benefit from buying RAC wheels. Those that expressed interest for the original RAC groupbuy was all performance oriented. Which is why even on the second group buy the slots are filling up quickly. So beyonds persuading RAC's owner(whom I get the feeling is a purest for performance over bling) ..you'd have a hard time getting enough interest

There are a number of new high performance cars that come with lightweight 20's, including the GT-R and Ferrari 458 Italia.

They are also cars with a lot more HP and Torque than the M3 and were designed to accomodate such a large wheel. On the car such as the M3, any 20 inch wheels will degrade performance. Period.

Why not have a forged set of 20's for street use? And a set of lightweight 18's for the track. Period
