Max Cool Button

My Max Cool Button won't come on when I press it. Is it because the temperature is too cold outside? I was reading the manual and it seemed to imply that it only turns on when the outside temp is 32F or 0 C. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

With no disrespect, I'm trying to figure out why anyone in IL is trying to get the MAX COOL to come on in this weather?

At below freezing, isn't the MAX COOL button supposed to open the windows and sunroof? Seems to me to be the green solution.

I was playing around with the buttons and remembered it being on when I press it before. I've only had the car for a month so still trying to learn the system. It looks like it should be able to turn on all the time, so I guess there is a malfunction. Off I go to the dealership for repair.

Before you see the dealer, you might check the owner's manual section labeled "Maximum Cooling". The 2008 manual clearly states that the A/C function is only available above 32o so unless it's been changed for 2010, your system is operating the way it should.
