Driving up and down steep ramps

Hi Everyone,

I remember reading a while ago that with the E9X M3, if you are going over a speed bump or up or down a steep ramp (and you're worried you might scrape either the front bumper or the tailpipes), it's advisable to set the EDC to sport. Can anyone confirm that this is true, and is useful?

Changing the EDC setting does not change the ride height. The only circumstance in which a firmer setting might help you is if you're hitting the ramp entry point at way too high a speed, and if you do that you're going to do damage no matter what. If you do what you should be doing and creep onto the ramp, it won't make any difference.

Thanks! I actually just realized it's in the manual (using EDC when going over speed bumps and onto ramps).
