Will Porsche GT2 Sports Buckets fit in my M3??
So today I was a nice guy and took a relative's Cayenne GTS in for its 15,000 mile service. While there, I test drove a 7.2 C4S that was equipped with the seats I mentioned in the title. My question of course is can I fit these in my car? If so, what modifications do I need to make it work? I've seen the CGT seats done in an M3 so this has got to be possible, I hope.
This setup would be bad ass. I know it won't save as much weight as pole positions, but this is my DD and exceptions have to be made. I could still fold the seats down in order to get people/dogs/other crap into the back seats and still have a sweet driving seat. Thanks in advance for your help and have a great holiday weekend---JC

The OE supplier of those Porsche seats is RECARO.
So it's very likely that Recaro/Sparco seat rails/floor mounts wil work. I hope you realize, that a pair of those seats go for nearly $7000. (not kidding)

I'm aware, I would just be buying one to transfer to my next car, which will be a 911. The dealer quoted me $4100 for one seat...HA!! Thanks for the info bud

How about the Recaro Sportster CS?
Very similiar for about half the pocket change.

^Basically the BMW Performance seat right? I'm still thinking about the Pole Positions from you guys. However, I want to see what kind of a deal I can get on the Porsche seat, b/c I've tried the two out and the Sportster doesn't have near the side support of the Pcar Sport Bucket. If not this seat I'm going to go with the Poles or CGT replicas.

If you decide to go with the PPs, they are in stock whenever you're ready.

John, those are badass, but $4100 for one seat is a lot of money not to mention it would look strange with seats that do not match in your DD. If you decide to do this, I would say you pull the trigger and get both. Also, can you purchase them without the Porsche logo on the headrests? That too would be weird, IMO.

This is just a matter of finding someone in your area with the seats and hopefully letting you try to fit them with recaro hardware. |

^If CGT seats can fit in an M3, I don't see why these won't. However, don't know if the side air bags will still work.

No carbon or airbag option on the Sportster CS - these seats are business only.

These will also work in the e46M with the correct Macht Schnell mounts. Recaro just released a fibre version of the PP, but no plans of them entering the US anytime soon.
