Curious why your selling?
Also yes you are way out on pricing for a year old car with 25000km you are only taking $3k off of MSRP and no one pays MSRP (well maybe the first year they did). Dealers seem to only be asking $38k. I would say $35k is what you'd get for it, a car depreciates 15-20% a year normally on the higher side the first year. |

I'm selling it cause I need something with more cargo space and I would like something 4 door.
With changes coming into my life in the next couple of years, I know that the 1er will not be practical for me anymore. So I figured that if I know that I have to sell it eventually, I might as well sell it now. Another reason (and I have been grilled on this before, some people understand, some think I'm crazy) is because I did get a puppy dog a few months after I got my car. Basically all in all I can't justify in my head having a dog running around in the back of a $50k car. His kennel doesn't fit right into my car and honestly its just a pain in the ass lugging him around in it. |

Wholesale: $33K - $34K,
Retail: $35K - $36K The 2010s are almost here -you'll be lucky to get $34K for it privately. The value of most of your options are offset by the deduction for manual tranny.

$34K ????? no way.......really?? $34k seems really really low. I understand that 2010 are coming out and when I price out the 128i on the web site with all the option that I have on my 2008, it is at $42k. That is without the freight and GST and the 3M and the protection package that I have on top of that. I just think in my personal experience (mind you, I did get this the first year the 1er came out the the dealers weren't budging very much on the price) that if I could do it all over again, I would buy a slightly "used" car and save myself having to pay the freight and GST (which was about $4k) I mean other than having 25 000 kms on it... its pretty much a brand new car. I have only had it for a little over a year I might be totally out to lunch here with my way of think hahahaha I would be very curious to see what the dealers are charging for a 2010 128i with all the options that I have, out the door... any ideas?? At the end of this thread your cars only going to be worth $10k, keeps going down with every post! LOL
In the end its worth what someone will pay for it, be it $39k or $33k This is why I lease, don't have to deal with depreciation, well actully thats all I'm paying for. Mind you it would be hard to get out of a lease if I wanted/had to. |

I'm going to echo what others are saying - a bit overpriced. I got mine back in May for just over $37000 - plus the taxes and other "fees".

+1, $33k-$34k is likely what you'll get. I've seen 135s on the autotrader with fewer clicks and similarly spec'd moving for $36-$38k.

seriously if your going to sell it that cheap mine as well keep it. You will only bring all of our car values down if you sell it at such low price.

OP;
BTW, have you gone back to the BMW dealership to see what they will give you for it wholesale. That would give you a good starting point to price your puppie realistically (e.g. add $2K to the wholesale for a quick private sale).
