Shout Out to Vancouver B.C. 1ers

I was just in Vancouver, going on an Alaskan cruise. Obviously, whenever I travel, I look for 1's. Sure enough, there are plenty in Vancouver.

Couldn't get pics in time, but one did stand out. It was clearly modified. It was repainted in a matte-black paint and had "Performance Motors" stickers on it. Anyone on this site lay claim to owning that car? Certainly looked cool!

Oh, and as for Alaska, as expected, no BMW's. None. I didn't see a single one anywhere. RWD vehicles and trickly electronics aren't going to do well in -60 degree weather.

i believe there is a company here that had their 1er painted matte black, i couldnt tell you if they are in bc though

I'm in Vancouver and I have never seen this car. I would love to see the real thing

I've never seen this car either. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. And, yes, there are a lot of 1's here in Vancouver. I see them all the time.

Ya I really noticed that in Vancouver the 1er is very popular. More so than the US? Either way it is nice to see 1ers and it is not LOL

I see a lot of stock-looking 1ers (just on my way home today I saw 3 of them), but haven't seen a matte black one

Vancouver is a hotbed of 1's. There are many places in the US where forum members have never seen another one. Here I see them all the time. All different colours and combinations.

Well, down here in the Capital of BMW-Land, known as SoFL, the 1's are now starting to hit the masses. I am seeing more and more of them popping up with just "regular people" driving them, not the car enthusiasts like us. This is of course both good and bad.

But overall, the 1 maintains its popularity, and ultimately that just helps us 1 Addicts.

the bmw your talking about was done in a matte black wrap i think the only upgrade it had was a dinan stage 2?
it is in vancouver might of been sold and moved on now
but the boyfriend of someone i work with did the wrapping for the car; for the bmw dealership in north vancouver.
it was shown at the euro car show in north vancouver aswell; to show off the matte black wrapping
