35d is fun

I just got mine and all can say its a monster with lots of power.

I think I got a good deal. Let me know your thoughts.

2009, factory demo with 13k miles, very clean

MSRP $67,xxx

with ECO rebate I got it for $51,xxx
still have $1600 to receive (tax rebate),
and some portion from registration and sales tax (for new car purchase)

I am netting $48k-49k at the end

35d is fantastic engine not available in x6 in NA just in x5! Lots of torque!
Another BMW blunder in this economy when MB have lots of diesel models to choose from !

I've been contemplating the 35d or a cpo 4.8i. Sounds like you got a great deal considering my dealership wants $51K for a used 2007 4.8!

The solution: slow down in turns.

I contemplated getting a 35d with Adaptive Drive, then mod it to produce more power. In the end I decided to just go with the X5M so I don't have to fiddle with anything.

Congrats! I got one too. I love it. Price is right in there, plus $1800 on tax return later. I am very surprised that more people aren't jumping on this.

Thanks guys and Congratulation to all the new buyers!!!

I am very excited so is my wife. I haven't had a chance to get pictures but i will post some later. We really love the car, and i think it has been the best purchase ever. My lease on e90 335 will be up next year, and i am seriously considering getting 335d. These are great engines, and get you outstanding performance coupled with great mileage.

Now, i am getting my tints, and wanted to ask if anyone had experience with Ceramic tint. My e90 curently has carbon based, and i have no problems. No glare whatsoever.

My kid and wife will be using the car most of the time, so I thought to get something nice and at the same time protect that leather trim. I was told by the shop that Ceramic has the best heat (IR) resistance.

Your thoughts ????

Please advise on Ceramic Tint.

Thank you all again.

Garage List
Too much roll! I just drove the X5 35d on the track at the performance center last Friday, and rode around the test track at, lets just say over 100mph, and there is incredibly little roll for an SUV! Now it is not my M3 but pretty darn good. I was thinking of trading my 2007 X5 3.0si and last Fri sealed the deal. The diesel has nice acceleration, way better than the 3.0, and given the mpg it is a no brainer, as long as the diesel fuel is not way more expensive. I got a production # for a 2010 late fall build and get the $4500 eco credit to boot.
