August 29th Shannonville Full Track & Sept 6th Mosport DDT lapping event! Touge.ca

who's going? I still have like 40% left on my set of used R888, need to finish them on the track for new R-compounds next yr.

wow that looks cheap! what is the format? is it just go on whenever you want or are there sessions for certain groups (novice, intermediate, etc.)?

Just so everyone is clear, the Mosport date is the Mosport Driver Development Track (DDT)..........NOT the full Mosport Grand Prix Track. They are VERY different. The DDT is a fairly short, technical track. Speeds are never that high, so it is a good track to learn on.

I've been with the Touge group last year. Usually high number of participants with no specific run groups. It is open lapping, but they do have an upper limit they allow on the track at any one time. A younger crowd in general with cars ranging from souped up Civics to Porsches. Generally well run, although the younger demographic means there are somtimes some aggressive/stupid moves on the track.

yes they do have run groups on DDT this year, Novice and Experienced/Advanced.
I have been a few events, some had only 15-18 cars, some had around 25-30s..depends on weather and long weekends/occasions. Actually I'm a mid-age dad with two kids, I was with my wife in my "1" in an event, she was scared by a 50s aged driver with a yellow Cayman stupid passing in a few corners, ended up getting a black flag waved, and Kevin@Touge sent him home right away.
