Montrealers... any detailers you recommend?
As the title says, any detailers you've had work on your car in the Montreal area that you recommend? I don't have a problem washing/claying/waxing my car, but I think it needs a first-time polish and seal since I picked it up a month ago. There are holograms and scratches in the paint that I noticed within the first few days of ownership so I'd like those removed and protected since the dealer didn't do a very good job.
Thanks for your help! |

If we have enough interest I am willing to come out to Montreal and work on a few cars out there. Here is an example of my work http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271417.

Great job on the GT-R ... my car doesn't need all that but that's amazing.
I don't have the space to do it where I live but if you ever come over and have a place lined up.. i would be willing. Can't imagine no one in Montreal can do something similar. |

There are lots of little guys but I won't trust my car to someone with just a bit of experience. I'll take it to a shop and pay a 30-50% premium if I know that my car is in the best hands. But really, Details is the only recommendation? They're just your average car wash (though I don't doubt they'll do an okay job)..

Had my car waxed at Details today. They did a good job on the wash and clay (even cleaned in around the hood when opened, etc.) but I'm not happy with the wax job they did. There was noticeable discoloration on my hood between the paint and wax, I spent 10 minutes trying to buff it out and there is still some remaining. Flakes of wax in various places, some areas thicker than others. Have to say that for the price $80 with wash and clay) I'll just be doing it myself in the future (this one was because I'm strapped for time before leaving for vacation next week).
So if you're looking for a wash, I'd say go there, but I won't be going back for a wax (or attempt a polish...). |
