Diesel Z4 Track Car

Only found this short vid showing a Z4 with a diesel engine swap.
Why a diesel engine i have no idea. But here it is.

Anyone else know anything about it?

Diesel because of its incredible torque and increased mileage.
Quicker out of the turns and fewer pitstops.

It's what gives the Audi R10 its advantage and its consistent 1st and 2nd place podium finishes.
