Dinan spring installed
I got the Dinan springs installed 2 weeks back. Nice subtle drop and the ride is firmer than before. I definitely feel the car is slightly stiffer and I can feel the bumps in the road whilst in comfort setting (EDC). I haven't seen any upclose pics of the drop on the forums so I'm posting a few I took to give an idea to those of you that are considering these springs.

Any before shots? I can't really tell theres a drop
I think the beauty of the DInan is keeping the warranty and the new bumpstops, the drop just isn't there |

It is subtle but noticeable when seen in real life. It definitely looks better than stock as before when I stood by the car it really bothered me, but now I see it's just right. This is the way it should have looked from the factory. The rears have less than a finger gap and the front has a 2 finger gap. Before there was 2 finger gap in the rears and a little more than 3 in the front. The 15% rebate with 5% from my local dinan shop made this purchase worthwile.

That's a nice drop. My ACS springs did approximately the same, might be a little more drop in the front.

I am thinking about Dinan springs as well ... but could it be that E90s are lower than the E92? I ask because I swear my E90 is already as low as your pictures. I just checked and I have a 1 finger gap in the rear (without a full tank of gas) and a 2.5 finger gap in the front and I don't have big fat fingers.

Would be great to compare ACS and Dinan drop side by side.

Kev,
So you just did the ACS springs? I like the drop. How is the ride compared to stock and do you have EDC? Do you know how makes them? Im hoping they are just not H&R springs with ACS labels. Thanks for the pics. EDIT-my Qs were already answered in this thread. Thanks. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202004

I highly recommend it to those that want a lower center of gravity, higher spring rate, but without a major loss in comfort. Dave

For those of you wondering how suspension travel is preserved with the Dinan kit, it comes with modified guide support assembly for the front, parts 1-5 and 7 (in addition to the modified bump stops, part 8).
I like the Dinan setup. The car indeed should have come from the factory much more like this.

From reading all the Dinan install threads on the forums, it has been difficult to capture the drop in pics. It's 0.5 inches front and rear. It is very obvious from the rears. The front has settled and I can tell that it is dropped. On paper, I thought that it was too small a drop to notice. However, it is obvious when you see the car in person. I asked my friend the other day to tell me if he noticed anything different and he immediately noticed it sitting lower. The stock suspension is brilliant. The Dinan springs give a modest improvement in performance as well as a modest cosmetic upgrade.
These pics are before and after- not the best example but it's the only before and after pics I could find. Notice my handtruck in the rear of the pic- you can see more of the handle in the after pic on the right.

My dealer has a test car with Dinan springs on it and I cand even tell, except that the front appears higher than the rear, which looks odd to me. Does anyone have High res pics of before and after from straigt off to the side? All these funky angles are deceiving...

IMHO, this is a performance mod, not an appearance mod. Go with another supplier if you want a big drop for cosmetics.
