Eibach Springs lowered E92 M3 question
Hi guys ,
I just got the eibach pro kit springs installed on my e92 m3. After I took the car back home , I checked the drop of the car. There is a slight difference of the drop between the right side F and R wheels and the Left side F and R. The difference is some what visual . To confirm , I put my index and middle finger in the gap between the tire and the wheel well. While my fingers fit in the right side front and rear wheel well and do not have any space to move them up or down , when I try the same in the left side front and rear wheels , my fingers have a little space to move up or down (consider the fact that we have RHD cars here in India) . The springs were installed 2 days ago and I know that I should give at least 2 weeks for the suspension to settle , but I wanted to confirm if this is normal. The car was aligned again after the install . The difference in drop between the right and left side, per say , would be a few mm's only , but I still needed some insight here. |

Not sure, could be compensation for the weight of the driver. I know that's what was done with my H&R coilover set up, but we purposely dialed that in.

a lot of people mention this. try sitting in the car and then having a friend measure the difference. its normally just to offset the driver's weight

I haven't clicked the post springs pictures. Could it be that the springs got installed backwards? Since my car is RHD , so may be the left side springs were meant for the right side(drivers side in RHD ) and hence they would have been set a little higher. Is that possible?

I tried testing the drop by having a passenger sit in the car and check the left side profile(the one that is higher) and turns out the gap is still the same. What now?

Update :
I had the tech at the dealership check the gaps as they had installed the springs. Turns out that the difference in drop between the front left and right side is 7mm. According to the tech , BMW recommends 10 mm gap . So they say it is normal. Is this true guys or are they bs'ing me ? |
