Dinan or JB+
I got a lease due in 24 months.
Im debating between dinan or jb+. Im just scared that JB+ would be detected by bmw, = voiding my warranty. Could they be able to proof that I had a tune when returning my car? Even If i have BT scan . Thats why Dinan could give me a piece of mind while leasing and maybe buying the car after the lease Any advice? |

I would go JB and a BT scanner. You can use the BT tool for 2 more bimmers too.
Ohh and add a poll. Make your life a hell of a lot easier.

If you use the JB+ on low boost, there is almost no chance of you damaging your engine or having warranty hassles. Remember something has to go wrong in order for you to even get into a possible warranty battle with the dealership.

Do you guys think a JB+ or JB3 has less chance of getting detected?

I'd say the JB+. The JB3 uses much different (i.e. more aggressive) maps.

Do I need a BT Tool for my JB2?? I got a CEL once when I started my car but that only occurred 1 time. The car started shaking almost violently, I shut down the engine, restarted, and no problems since.

Was that when you first started it after installing the JB? I hear that can happen.

if your considering a Dinan I would totally put the Procede V3 rev. II. in the list. less than the Dinan Flash and more features than Anything. and no need for a BT tool it clears codes itself.
