Those w/ Logic 7: Please Get Your Dealer to Log a Ticket!

Trying to get more people to complain about this to their dealers so that BMW NA will begin an investigation. If you have the Logic 7 Premium stereo, you likely have noticed a tinny vibration-type noise on certain songs. It is described in detail here:

If you have this, please schedule an appointment for service and be sure your dealer leaves the "RO(?)" open so BMW NA will see it. This issue will NOT get fixed unless enought people complain.

I did this already and I talked to them about reporting to BMW NA, but since they never verified there even was a problem even after I took them for a ride, I'm not sure if they reported it. Maybe we should contact BMW NA directly?

Can you give us a list of songs? (part of song I should hear the problem) I can will check it out. Obviously I also need to prove it. I have not noticed it, but maybe my choice of songs do not make the sound.

It's very obvious in the first 5 seconds of "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado. Listen to it stopped and then go on the highway and you should definitely hear it. Other songs that sound bad: "My Superman" by Santogold. "Speak to Me/Breathe" by Pink Floyd. Also pretty much anything on Area 38 if you have satellite radio. There are some others in the referenced thread.

If you actually like and listen to Nelly Furtado, then the BMW police should just show up and rip your logic 7 right out of the dash--as it's going to waste anyway...

Then please, schedule a service appointment and make sure your dealer sends the issue ticket to BMW.

you can also contact bmwcca ombudsman and maybe they can contact the right people of there are enough complaints
