BBS CH 9x19 ET35 on 135i

Got a good deal on wheels package:

BBS CH wheels 9Jx19 ET35 with 245/30R19 DUNLOP SP SPORT MAXX tyres.

The question is - will it just rub sometimes? Or will it be almost impossibe to drive?

PS
I drive alone almost all the time - no passengers and loadout in the trunk...

Any idias?

it's hard to say. I think that is a really aggressive offset & size. If you don't lower the car, you should be ok with it. But, it will rub if you can live with that.

if you lower the car, it definitely will not work.

See I don't know. Lowering the car would increase the negative camber which would make the wheels fit better within the fenders. Either way, I'm betting on slight rubbing.

Fenders will probably need rolling. But, if rolling is done right it should look like nothing has happened.

they will rub some, rolling is required as well as some modification of the insides of the fenders

Guys, thank you for your answers.

What is 'rolling' and what kind of modifications of the insides of the fenders?

Thank you in advance.

Well, on the front wheel I'd be more worried about the suspension clearance as the inner rim will be brought in by about 6mm as compared to stock.

9 inch wheel just isn't going to fit at the front and et35 @ 9 inch isn't going to fit the rears either.

I have 9" wheels on the front of mine, for racing, and 245's. Those are ET43 though, and I had rubbing, and rolled the front fenders. The rears just barely work as well.

You're attempting to fit a similar fitment, except more outward by 8mm, or almost half an inch more outward. You will not fit those without pretty major rolling, or living with major rear rubbing, plus chewing up those 245's in front.

understood.

thanks to everyone )

PS
Tried the tyre/wheel calc combo - the only disadvantage of 9x19ET35 with 245/30R19 against stock wheel+tyres is that it will be rubbing - 17mm rear and 21mm front....

BBS CH doesn't exist in 9x19 for BMW...

The only fitment that will do (more or less) for the 1er is:

BBS CH 004 front (or front and rear): 8.5x19 ET35 5x120
BBS CH 005 rear: 9.5x19 ET40 5x120

And they rub, you need to widen the arches. I had them on my coupe but I sold them for something with higher offsets (40front and 45 rear). Doesn't rub anymore now.

has any one tried the 19-8.5 front with +38 offset. i have heard mixed reviews about this. there are quite a few nice wheels out there with this offset that we are interested in selling for the 1er.

i'm looking at the CH in 19x8.5 +38 offset with 225/35/19 and 19x9.5 +45 offset with 255/30/19. If i get this setup, i'll let you all know how it works out.

you should be able to fit more than that up front.

that is basically the same as the current VMR CSL rep set up, except the front will stick out 2 mm more. you will be fine. rears will rub hard if your lowered. BUT a good fender roll will fix that.

the CH only comes in the following:
CH004 - 19 x 8.5 et35
CH005 - 19 x 9.5 et40

I was actually confused with the BBS RG-R set up:
Front: 18 - 8.5 et38
Rear: 18 - 9.0 et45

I think that this will work fine with a roll in the front and 225/245 tire setup.
