KM11s + LM25 snow tires + LeMans Blue 135i = pleasant surprise
Despite a cold, grey day here in Ontario, I managed to take a couple of decent pictures to give folks an idea of how the KM11s appear on a LeMans Blue car. I was pleasantly surprised how they look, especially after getting turned on to the stock 241s. I wonder if I'll feel the same way under bright sunlight when the blue paint really pops?

Thank you for the pics. That is exactly what I will be installing November 26 here in Philadelphia. Just ordered the K11's and had them shipped to the installer. I had the LM25's from last year. Also purchased BMW center caps from LeatherZ. My car is SGM, but will look great now that I see them on a 135i.

Maybe next year - too much of a pain to pull the rims off and put them back on for centre caps. Besides, maybe these centre caps will dissuade any ruffians from trying to steal my rims.

Yep, really a dynamic colour. It changes appearance depending on the ambient lighting and looks much darker than the Montego IRL.

I got the same. Looks lie that combo is common. Dark Rims + Less Spokes = Less cleaning & less freezing while cleaning.

Toronto's winter has provided us with a wide variety of conditions to test the KM11 and LM25 combo, so I figured it was time for a review.
First of all, the grey KM11 wheels are a godsend in the winter time when you don't want to spend a lot of time cleaning your wheels. This year it's been particularly pointless with the amount of gunge on the ground. The broad, grey spokes do a comendable job of hiding brake dust and road dirt, especially when everyone is too damn cold to care. The LM25s turned out to be about exactly what I figured they would be. Billed as a performance winter tire, they aren't the best snow tires. Cold pavement (wet or dry) - Excellent tires, with superior grip, a comfortable ride and a low level of noise. An exceptional choice if your winters are mostly just cold without a lot of snow. Ice and packed snow - Pretty good tires with better than average grip when it gets a bit slippery. They'll get you where you need to go without a lot of drama. Accumulated loose snow or deep slush - Not a very good choice as a snow tire, about on par with a decent all-season from Michelin, perhaps. The tires don't have enough void to deal with accumulations of snow and slush, plugging quickly and becoming quite slippery. If you spend a lot of time dealing with a thick blanket of snow or slush, I'd recommend looking at Nokian Hakkapalitas or Pirelli 210s (from personal experience) and I've heard from lots of people that the Blizzak WS-60 is much better at handling actual snow. On the down side, the Nokians and Pirellis are much noiseier and have significantly more tread squirm on dry or wet pavement. Overall, I'm very pleased with the combination, since I rarely spend much time driving in snow or slush. Most of my winter driving is in cold weather on dry or wet pavement, and these tires have met or exceeded my expectations in those conditions. I'd recommend them for someone in a similar climate. Across the pond in Buffalo, though, you'd probably want to look at tires more dedicated to dealing with actual snow.

Hmmm, when I bought them, they were available for the 135. To be honest, I don't know for sure, but I seem to recall the offset is around 40mm. Lots of people have them, and there is no rubbing. Maybe drop a line to Tire Rack and see what happened to the 1-series fitment...
