door closing
Some times I find that the door pull handles near the front of the doors dont offer enough "control" when opening the doors or holding them so they dont bang other cars or in high winds. Has anyone added or thought of adding a assist handle or modifying the door armrest to add a hand hold?

I haven't had many complaints on the 1, but I will say that this issue has been the biggest. However, it's not holding the door in the wind, it's the closing of the door. The handle is just too far forward. I swear, it took three attempts today before I got it completely closed. Ack!!!

Agree, this too was one of my first observations about the car.
What I do now: Instead of the forward door handle, I use the lower map pocket to control the door movement. The map pocket runs along the entire bottom of the door, allowing plenty of grip surface. Works like a charm. Mark M |
