Non RFT Winter Survival Kit.

Anyone recommend a 'survival' kit to go with non run flats?

1 - 12v compressor?

2 - plug kit?

3 - can of 'get-me-home' tire foam?

4 - combination of above?

5 - all of the above?

6 - something else additionally?

7 - something else entirely?

Also, (no reference right now as my car is being driving by my spouse today) what's the correct torque for the lug nuts on a 128i coupe?

Cheers,

VFX.

I ordered the BMW mobility kit from Dan @ United. It sits neatly at the left side of my trunk.

For me, first would be BMW roadside assistance.

I do have a can of "take-me-home" tire foam and an air compressor as an alternate plan.

I torqued my bolts to 90 ft-lb.

So...

BMW Roadside Assistance
+ BMW mobility kit
+ Compressor

And I should cover most eventualities I guess.

Get a jack and a donut. I hate to be waiting around for someone to eventually show up and "assist" me.

Or have ADAC in Germany They come out and get you anytime anywhere. All that for 80 bucks a year.

Why pay $80 a year for ADAC when you have BMW Assist already?

I used BMW Assist (for my MCS) when I lived in London & they took half the time of RAC or AA.

Maybe I was lucky that they didn't send me a 3rd party mechanic but the BMW Assist guy even turned up in a BMW liveried 530d Touring & a trunk load os diagnostic gear

I looked at this feeling the same way but did you know the donut over at LeatherZ is like $245? I'm leaning towards compressor and goo for situations where waiting for the Calvary doesn't work.

Can't do the donut route as the vert has limited trunk space and it's hard enough to put my son's hockey bag in there already.

ditto on the donut.

No off spring's hockey kit to take up space but I need the trunk often enough to make a donut a pita.

This can be a nightmare in the most populated areas of the world, so I wouldn't want to be waiting in an isolated area.

Does anyone know the effects, of a can of FIX a FLAT on the TPMS. I got a funny feeling that you will need to buy a new tire
and a tire sensor.
