Looks great, it's so interesting to see the underrepresented 1er's on here. I think the model 1er is so neat. This is also the first time I had seen that steering wheel, great color and I am sure you will enjoy. Wilkommen!

Thanks for your replies and accepting me though I don't own a high powered engine
It's the regular sports steering wheel. I will replace the silver trim with this black/chromed cover - but without multifunctions.

I like your interior. Maybe the first time ever gray cloth looks good, normally it's quite the un-sexay choise. Keep posting them pics as you add more mods. Out of interest; did you buy the car as new or used? (did you option it yourself?)
...schönes auto...

You're right, normally it is the unsexy choice
But all my VW had black interieur and so I searched for a car with gray seats, which is the answer to your question: I bought it used (3.5 years with 60.000km) in a great condition... Danke schön

I love the colour, too...!
After you've seen the next pic, you'll know why I mod the car and why I chose sparkling graphite  It's my Dad's E92 w/ Sport Package. He said that my car would look boring compared to his Coupé - he's right

I didn't think about the environment when I bought the 116i...
In the last years I had a VW Bora (Jetta) TDI and a Golf GTI 25th Anniversary

Hi Rafael,
cool to find another german user in the hatchback section! You are from Oldenburg right? I have some relatives in this are  Have fun with our first BMW! Hope you mind asking why you joined an english-speaking BMW forum? I joined it, because i dislike the behavior in most of the german forums...

Hi Chris...!
Actually I am from Hamburg, but I moved to Oldenburg a few years ago... I really like my hatch but I'm not sure if I should mod it like I planned. Today I've been at a BMW dealer in Hamburg and fell in love with a saphirschwarz 123d coupe. Now I wonder if I let my hatch nearly stock and save my money for buying a coupe in 2 years... It's a hard decision... There are different reasons for joining an english-speaking forum. One is that I like how Americans mod their BMWs. It's mostly OEM+ which I like very much. Another reason is as you said the behavior of german forum members... "If you have just a 116 you're nothing" - that's one point of view I dislike ... Of course I join a german forum, too... Edit: I ordered the black/chrome steering wheel cover today

Hi Rafael,
if you like the 116i Hatch and if you satisfied with the performance, i think you should drive it, as long as you can. I did the same with my 318ti E46.. i drove the car over four years and i liked it very much. But now i wanted "a little bit" more performance... If you go for the 123d Coupe in a few years, i think you will make no wrong decision.. I drove the 123d one time it has nearly the same performance in the lower rpm area (compared to a 135i).

There's no doubt - I like my 116i.
Another interesting 1er is the 3door hatch - especially as Limited Sport Edition... We'll see what happens within the next 12 - 24 months... For sure is, that I won't mod the 116i as planned...

The next little mod:
new steering wheel cover (LCI)... It's definitely an improvement of the interieur...
