DIY Request: Remove door panels to access the speakers.
I'd really appreciate it if somebody would post a how-to remove the door panels so I can upgrade the speakers. Thanks.

It's not too difficult to do. I have done it a number of times and it is easier after you have done it the first time.
here are 2 post which show you how http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7772 http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=2256 The difference with the 135i is that there is no screw near the door handle. the screw is behind a plastic tab in the bottom door bin. I used a metal paint scraper wrapped with a cloth instead of the ice scraper to pop the fixings off. It requires a fair bit of force. Start at the rear lowest corner. |
