I feel a little retarded but...

the 1 series does not come with a jack and kit correct? if it did how would i be able to get these wheel locks off the car? i have about a million tools but not that particular one.

Check beneath the floor panel of your trunk. You should find the jack, and some tool sets there, along with your wheel lock if you purchase them.

You have to buy your wheel locks? Both the cars came with them here...

The 135 comes with run flat tires. It does not have a jack, or a wheel wrench. The wheel locks are sometimes placed in the tool kit bag.

Standard kit in Canada.... just a small part of the BMW Canada justification of the extra 10 grand we pay out .

I bought the parts extra. having had several flats in my 335, the jack is awful handy, regardless of RFTs.

Just noticed your sig, but man, how on earth do you not drive the R8 everywhere you go? I don't think I'd possibly be able to not drive that car over another car..

I didn't buy the jack because it'll just add more weight. Plus BMW gives free Roadside Assistance anyways and if you bought the BMW Assist then its another service you can call on if help is needed. However if you're looking to jack it up for modding then I would suggest either buying the jack or try finding one from another car that doesn't damage the plastic jack points.

Yeah what I do is buy the 300ZX TT jack because it is made of aluminum.

True, but just think of it this way.... That added weight will take you from 51/49 to 50/50

If you buy Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 NON RUN FLAT tires, they will weigh much less then the OEM RUN CRAPS. Then buy a space saver spare and jack that weigh less then 40#. And they go into the trunk. 50/50. Better ride comfort, handling, and NO WORRIES going out of town with the RUN CRAPS.
