For those who are lucky to have their 1's
For those who are lucky to have their 1's
How long did it take for the new to wear off? 1/2/4 months? Or never?:roundel:

5 minutes.
I really like the car don't get me wrong...but as it turns out, it's a place holder until I can afford a Porsche Cayman S/911 or GT-R, or whatever floats my boat in 3-4 years. Missing my 2004 S2000 ALOT, I may not this December, when the S2000 would have been parked, but right now, it's a very fond memory. Right at this moment as a matter of fact, I wish I would have bought a new S2000 (maybe CR) and a 2006-ish civic for a similar amount of money. Sorry... |

Got it May 15, has 2200 miles on it, and looks better than new with weekly wash and wax...Still smells new, still drives new...Still loving everytime I push the button. Got the BMW "1" book today. This car won't grow old on me anytime soon........

My wife is wondering when I will stop being "an anal retentive ass" with detailing/washing and admiring the BEST auto I have ever owned!! 4 weeks so far and I love it more everyday!!

Tomorrow will be 1 month. Washed about 6 times, a couple of mod's put on plus tint and a clear bra. I'm following the bra installers instructions and not waxing for about a month after install. The wait is killing me as I have Zaino and Griot's products waiting to be used. The wife says I love the car like a wife. I say, 'Ha!' I lust it like a concubine! Just cleaned off the break dust...again. The new has not worn off.

1513 miles in 11 days. Really 8 days since we spent a few days exploring the Alps on foot. It drove better every day. I think it will be a long time before it gets old.

Been 4 weeks. Still wearing permagrin whenever I drive it. Haven't washed it yet, so it's filthy.... must make time to do it!!

I'm getting a little bored. If I wasn't building a house the mod bug would have begun! Only regret I have is not getting the clear bra. I have a few chips that are not too flattering. Touch up paint helped a little. Thinking about tinting, pedals, and possibly the SSTT. I just know once I start I won't be able to stop. I think I put about $5K worth of mods into my R32 and ended up losing all that.

Honeymoon continues
After 4 months and 3800 miles, the new is still with me. Honeymoon is on. I still clean the rims every 2 days and use the california car duster daily. I still love the car!

I've only had a small taste of the joy of driving my car. The week in Europe could not have gone by any faster. Luckily I'm on the home stretch as far as waiting. Less than 2 weeks until we're reunited!
