Comfort Access Remote survived a trip through the washing machine.

LOL... Yeah, I absent-mindedly left the Comfort Access Remote device in the pocket of a pair of my shorts, and it went into the laundry and through all the washing machine cycles... and yet somehow it survived all that soapy wet spinning torture!

I can't believe that it's working just fine.

Don't try it with sea water, everything corrodes almost immediately

Funny, I did the same thing. I washed it but rescued it before the dryer. I just let it dry out for a week and it works fine!

I got blood on my fob for my X5 and I put it in the ultrasonic instrument cleaner at work, it even removed the grease off the inner key. The thing never missed a beat.

The key fobs range from like $100 to $130 depending on Comfort Access. Those are exact numbers, but rough estimates.

I know this because I lost one of my keys on ED (LOL) but luckily the hotel sent it back to me free of charge!
