The PET is a detaled parts catalogue with all the part numbers shown. It is very detailed and used by the dealers to order correct replacement parts.

no idea. the E93 (3-series convertible) is not in there yet and that has been out even longer than the E82/E88.

I don't know how that site stays online, since those parts drawings are BMW copyrights.

Mad, it has always mystified me why they guard this so closely. I dont work in the auto industry but my take was if the customers who owned the cars wanted to work on them it would be a tremendous aid to them. They are usually the hard-core enthusiasts and usually brand loyal. Porsche finally got to the point that you could buy the CD from them for roughly $15. It helped the DIY person figure out many element of the car and how to modify for track,etc. Just curious! Bill:iono:
