Bump in Front Tow Box?? Is it supposed to be there?

just picked up my 135 today. There was a small raised bump on the front bumper on that box that covers the towing slot. Dealer said it was supposed to be there... A laser to make sure it isn't damaged when towed. Did he pull one over on me? In girlfriend's car going away for the weekend and its eating at me...

thanks. When I walked into the dealership, I saw the bump and got annoyed thinking "here we go"
